Meet Ashley
Ashley Wimbush, known professionally as Alpha Whiskey, is a Hampton University (HBCU) graduate, DJ, and Air Traffic Controller who thrives in high-pressure environments. In 2020, she founded Alpha Whiskey International with two clear goals: to provide exceptional service and to empower women breaking barriers in male-dominated industries.
With experience spanning music, public speaking, and aviation, Alpha Whiskey has built a strong reputation for delivering expert-level services and a unique perspective to every project. Her passion for blending music and aviation began at a young age and has grown into a career that bridges creativity, leadership, and precision.
Her impressive client list includes the Memphis Grizzlies, American Airlines, Central Station Hotel, Memphis Tourism, Soul in the Horn (NYC), Luke Weather’s Flight Academy, the Organization of Black Aerospace Pilots, the Greater Memphis Chamber, SheDJs Memphis, Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey, and FedEx. In recognition of her talent and influence, she was named Top Female DJ of the Year (2022) by the Southern Entertainment Awards.
Through Alpha Whiskey International, Ashley remains committed to helping others achieve success — whether by elevating music careers, inspiring audiences through speaking, or advancing aviation business operations. She also hosts her weekly radio show, Flight Risk, every Thursday evening on WYXR 91.7 Memphis.

Memphis 901 Day 2025
DJ Alpha Whiskey joined the lineup for Memphis 901 Day, an annual celebration highlighting the city’s cultural pride and creative spirit. The event transformed Downtown Memphis into a hub of music, art, and community with performances and appearances from renowned figures such as Project Pat, GloRilla, Tay Keith, and Priscilla Presley. From live music and fashion showcases to family-friendly experiences and local vendor markets, 901 Day captured the essence of Memphis. DJ Alpha Whiskey’s performance stood out as part of this dynamic mix, bringing her energy and artistry to a festival honoring the city’s legacy and future.
